IDEAlee is a Creative Agency and Consultancy set up by our Director and Creative lead, Lee! With over 20 years commercial experience gained throughout a range of sectors, but most recently as a Senior Brand Manager within the Marketing Department of a FTSE 250 Financial Services Company.
Lee’s skills and experience are wide ranging, with formal creative training in Animation and Graphic Design leading him to begin his career as a freelance designer in animation, illustration, character design and graphic design, working for Aardman and Dorling Kindersley. He then moved in house to a Graphic Designer role at esure Insurance and ultimately set up and ran a highly successful internal creative agency. During this period he both led the creative team and directly produced work, which included designing and producing ‘above the line’ marketing collateral, such as: corporate brochures and documentation; merchandise; multimillion pound TV/radio/outdoor advertising campaigns (including concept, scripting, location scouting, storyboarding) starring a famous actor; photography and creative projects for, and of, the Chairman, including corporate photography, promotional/ private creative materials, illustration, logo & brand creation; auditions / casting selection; brand guidelines, both TV & stills photo shoot arrangements (including creative direction), contract management and fulfilment; wrote, storyboarded and directed one of GoCompare's first TV adverts.
Following that, Lee then chose to diversify his skills further, to act as lead creative for an innovative start-up insurance company being responsible for the branding, promotion and full marketing mix. His passion and flair for all things creative, along with broad experience, then opened the opportunity for him to implement and run a creative think tank, 'The Lab'. Tasked with finding cost effective social media advertsing routes to increase policy sales, innovating new products and concepts, and maximizing the value of the marketing mix. Before leaving his last employer to start IDEAlee, Lee focused his skills back in to a branding management role and was responsible for a team comprised of Project Managers, Designers & Social Media specialists.
Lee has significant experience of corporate, branding and campaign photography and has undertaken a wealth of other private and business related photography assignments. He does love a good wedding too, with a vast number under his belt. Combining his creative mindset, with technical skills and professional grade equipment, ensures each couple's most special day is faithfully captured forever.
Through his background in this sector Lee has built up an extensive network of highly skilled and trusted professionals that he can call upon to cater for a client’s specific needs, should their skills be required.
Our core opening hours are 7am to 7pm, however, we're keen to be available when you need us most. If you find yourself with no time and in need of an extra pair of hands we'll do all we can to help, so get in touch whatever the hour (including evenings, weekends and bank holidays) but please bear in mind that any out of hours work will incur a reasonable surcharge.
This is a very hard question to answer as our fees/prices can vary greatly due to the extensive range of services we offer and huge differences in each client’s specific requirements.
However, once we know your particular requirements (which can be via a quick call, email or via our form here) we will put together a bespoke quote taking in to consideration your budget, if you have one in mind, and we will likely also give you options for different levels of service.
Fees/prices will however be based on one or more of the following:
a transparent hourly rate and accurate estimate of work duration;
by completed job or project;
on a sliding fee scale dependent on the volume and frequency of work;
an agreed retainer for services with specific weekly/monthly/annual costs and working hours determined.
Rest assured we regularly benchmark our prices against other businesses that we feel are comparable to ensure we are competitive and there is of course no obligation to accept a quote even after we’ve had an initial chat.

We are happy to work alongside you on a regular basis or flexibly, taking in to account the specific needs of you or your business and based on the skills and services you need from us. We are located in Crawley, West Sussex, 5 minutes from Gatwick Airport, which is ideal to cover all of Sussex, Surrey, Kent, London and the other Home Counties, however we also have clients in the USA and Scotland. We usually do much of our work from our own office, as from here we’re able to send and receive material quickly and easily using a range of current communication tools. However, we also work from a local co-working space with meeting rooms and access to a photography studio. We can be exactly where you need us to be though - if you’d like us to work from your premises or represent you at third party location this can be arranged.
To reassure current and potential clients, we do have up to date and adequate professional indemnity and public liability insurance should this ever be needed.
