Following a recommendation by the Deputy Mayor who'd seen our work, we were introduced to the Mayor of Bracknell Forest, Tony Virgo, he got in touch with us approx. 3 weeks before Christmas.  He'd been presented by a Christmas card design by another provider but he felt that it could be more impactful and creative, with that we were asked to create a bespoke Christmas card to a very tight timeframe.

WHY US?

The Client selected us for a number of key reasons: 

• we offer extensive creative solutions, including bespoke illustration;

• we were in agreement to incorporating a number photos that the Mayor was keen to include; 

• our flexible and extensive opening hours meant that we could make ourselves available to turn this around very quickly; 

• we came highly recommended to the Mayor. 

 

WHAT DID WE DO & HOW?

Our Graphic Designer spoke to the Mayor to understand what it was he liked/disliked about the design that had been given to him by another party.  The only stipulation in the brief was that it had to be Christmassy and creatively include 4 photos of important community projects he had been working on in 2016.  Given the timeframe we agreed to provide 2 concepts (overnight) for their consideration: one was an advent calendar with the windows being open with the images and the other was Santa’s nice list with the different projects being listed with the photos.

 

The Mayor had not appreciated quite how bespoke and professional the illustration would be and really liked both, but chose the advent calendar.  We developed this design and took feedback to create a final version that was used for their 2016 Christmas communications.
