case study: Logo refresh & Design - Grants Gardens
James, the Owner of Grants Gardens & Landscapes, approached IDEAlee to assist him with a number of creative services. Firstly, he wanted to very subtly update and refresh his logo, and for us to design him a high-quality business card. In addition, James was keen to get some photos or possibly video of his work being carried out, rather than just before/after shots which he had at the time.
WHY US?
The Client selected us for a number of key reasons:

our full service offer appealed so that the Client would have one company and one contact for all of their creative requirements, and we could therefore really get to know the Client, their business and their ethos.
WHAT DID WE DO & HOW?
James had recently migrated his website to a new URL, requiring new assets and some modifications to the existing identity.
Unfortunately, the Client was only able to provide their logo to us as a small jpeg file, so we had to firstly rebuild the logo from scratch this enabled us to provide not only a vector file (which can be used across a range of applications) but we were also able to make further subtle refinements. We did provide the Client with scamps of some additional changes he may wish to incorporate in order to modernise the logo further, which he liked, but understandably as an established business he was keen that his logo remained consistent.
In relation to business cards, the Client was keen that these were of a very high-quality and sleek in their design. We gave the Client a number of completely bespoke design options for both the front and the back of the card, ranging from more traditional to innovative, took his feedback and made adjustments to arrive at the version which he felt best suited and represented his high-end garden business. These were then printed on high-quality stock and with the rounded edges which were an impactful design feature.
OUTCOME & FEEDBACK
We outputted the logo to the Client in a number of formats, including a vector as a widely used design format, for inclusion on the website. The business cards were hand delivered and we both felt were of exceptional quality.
The photography has been postponed until the Spring/Summer of 2017 due to the weather and as a result of this project James has become an ongoing Client. We very much look forward to assisting him with all things creative in 2017.
